Dir. Research, Planning and Statistics

AgbeyekeTeddy Odu Chukwuyem was born on 22nd July, 1963 in Abavo in  Ika South Local Government Area. He attended the University of Benin, Benin City and obtained Master Degree in Guidance & Counseling and Bachelor Degree in Education majoring in Geography. He attended St George’s Grammar School, Obinomba the first college in then Aboh Division, Midwestern Nigeria where he obtained his West Africa Examination School Certificate. He also attended the Institute of Continue Education, Benin City.

He was employed by the Delta State Government Civil Service into the Administrative Officers Cadre as a Planning Officer II. His Administrative career started in the Directorate of Budget, Planning Research and Statistics now Ministry of Economic Planning. In August 2014 he was posted to Ministry of Finance as Director, Department of Planning, Research and Statistics. He has also served as Director, Administration, Ministry of Water Resources Development, Director, Millennium Development Goals, Office, (MDGs), Director, Administration and Finance, Urban and Regional Planning Board.

Functioned as permanent secretary, Ministry of finance.

Committees:

(i)        Secretary/Focal Person – Programme Monitoring Committee, (PMC) UNICEF Projects and Programme, Ministry of Economic Planning.

(ii)       Secretary, State Programme Coordinating Committee, (SPCC), United National Development Projects, (UNDP).

(iii)      Served as an adhoc staff to the committee that helped to manage and restructure DESOPADEC (Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission) in 2011.

(iv)      Secretary, Committee on the Verification and Payment Exercise of Delta State Workers in 2005.

(v)    Secretary, Committee on the Payment of Taxes by Oil and Gas Companies Operating in Delta State

Trainings:

(i)        UNICEF and UNDP trained at different occasions on project Administration, Management and Monitoring;

(ii)       Attended various trainings organized by, NCEMA (National Centre for Economic Management and Administration), Ibadan and those organized by International Agencies like DFID, British Commission ,UITAR.

He is married to Mrs Stella UChe Agbeyeke and blessed with children
